How the City of Concord is Supporting Local Business

COVID-19 has led to economic disruption around the world, but it has also brought out the best in people as we look to support one another. Like many places far and near, the Concord community is feeling the effects of restrictions on business and society at large. In these unprecedented times, the City’s mission of promoting economic growth and prosperity in Concord is more urgent than ever. Below is a list of resources the City of Concord has implemented to help sustain and support local business. The City remains optimistic and is committed to working with its business partners and community members now and after the COVID-19 crisis to restore our local economy. We hope that you stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected as we work through this together.

Concord’s Essential Business List

Essential businesses include auto shops, grocery stores, healthcare clinics, hardware stores and dry cleaners, as well as local restaurants open for take-out or delivery. The Economic Development Division is providing a searchable database for such businesses to encourage local and regional residents to support them.

Businesses that are open, considered essential and not currently on the list are encouraged to submit their company information directly through the portal itself and Concord Economic Development staff will review the information as soon as possible.
