Here in Concord we want people of all abilities to find their trailhead to adventure. Concord is working every day to become an ADA-accessible city and a more sensory aware destination. 

Accessible Concord is a program that provides a comprehensive travel strategy for all visitors. Since 2019, Concord has been working to learn, grow, and implement new accessibility goals in an effort to encourage all travelers to visit our inclusive destination. From hotels and parks to shopping and dining, visitors of all abilities are welcome and free to explore, experience, and enjoy all that our city has to offer.

Sign Language Interpreter Services

For visitors with hearing impairments or those who need sign language interpreters, these services are available in the East Bay with advance notice

Car & Van Rentals

Most local vehicle rental businesses offer vehicles for people of all abilities with advance notice, including wheelchair accessible vans and vehicles with adaptive driving devices.


TSA Cares

This program provides additional assistance to airline travelers of all abilities during the security screening process. They offer notification cards, practice security checks and more.

JSX Airlines

Flights to/from Burbank daily out of Concord’s convenient Buchanan Field Airport. Travelers may contact the Access Services representative at 800-435-9579 for information and special needs accommodations.


BART Accessibility

The Bay Area’s primary rapid transit system is committed to making sure that services are available to everyone. They offer services for passengers with sight, hearing, mobility and other special needs accommodations.

County Connection

Concord-based public transit agency operating fixed-route bus and ADA paratransit service in and around central Contra Costa County in the San Francisco Bay Area offering accessible services.
