2. Blaze the Taco Trail

After those invigorating outdoor trails, grab the official map and make your way to Concord’s famous Taco Trail. With over 40 family-owned restaurants and taquerias, Concord is the East Bay’s go-to destination for authentic Mexican food. 8. Make a Splash 

Cool off all summer long and weekends through October 3 at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Northern California’s largest, most thrilling water park. Watch for reopening announcement.

9. Get Historical 

The Concord Historical Society’s self-guided Walking Tours, now available with audio, are the perfect way to learn about the buildings and sites that surround you. Pick up a free map at the Concord Visitor Center and start your tour right there in Todos Santos Plaza. Visit Concord and the Visitor Center are located at 2151 Salvio Street, Suite T, in Concord.

10. Catch a Flick at the West Wind 

Concord’s  West Wind Drive-In is one of the few remaining drive-in movie theaters in California. Make a full night of it with a double feature and a trip to the snack bar during intermission!

11. Engage in Some Retail Therapy

Concord offers shopping galore with plenty of free parking. Make a day of it at Sunvalley Shopping Center, The Veranda, Park & Shop, and The Willows.
