Southwest Slopes of Mount Diablo

This event has expired and is here for your reference.

Spring is a wonderful time to hike this loop on the lower slopes of Mount Diablo’s southwestern side. Our route, which includes portions of Stage Rd, Barbecue Terrace, and Wall Pt Rd, takes us through big skies and open grasslands, woodland, and along a wide rocky vein with magnificent valley views.

Bring plenty of water and sun protection, since about half the hike lacks shade. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels. All participants must bring a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available at the hike.

Participants will be required to accept our COVID-19 Protocol (available during registration).

This event is limited to 20 participants.
