Get even more serious about your Yoga experience at YogaSol near downtown Concord where you’ll discover multiple choices in Yoga classes happening throughout the day and week including Vinyasa, Yin and Power.

Zumba is another option at the popular Our Studio. Here they offer drop-in Zumba all day and also yoga at night while encouraging holistic lifestyle balancing exercise, wholesome nutrition, and stress management - yes!

Mid morning (while it’s still cool):

Concord’s numerous parks are inviting for their fitness and sports options including walking tracks as well as basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. For a quiet and inspiring workout, walk Markham Nature Park and Arboretum. Take in the beauty of 45 different species of trees as you walk along Galindo Creek on the relatively flat terrain. And for those who really want to escape daily conferences and meetings, Mt. Diablo is a must. Here you can hike or bike while taking in beautiful vistas, waterfalls, and wildflowers. Or immerse yourself in 25 miles of trails in Lime Ridge Open Space. Run, walk or bike while enjoying floral, fauna, quarries and wildlife.


Afternoon:

A unique local escape is Diablo Rock Gym where you can climb indoors or outdoors. They provide the gear you need as well as lessons for beginners to the more advanced in climbing and bouldering.


Evening:

Recharge during your stay at Hilton Concord with a few laps in the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool followed by a bit of relaxation in the whirlpool. The indoor pool allows swimming 365 days of the year and yes - it’s heated! The fitness center is open 24 hours for the busiest of travelers and includes everything from elliptical machines to free weights and a wellness bar.

At the Clarion Hotel, travelers can keep their wellness routine on track at the hotel’s fitness center. The outdoor heated swimming pool is large and luxurious too!

Anyone planning a stay at Days Inn by Wyndham can immerse themselves in “me time” during a workout at the pool or truly relax in one of the hotel’s jacuzzi suites.

Some will get their zen on at the Best Western Heritage Inn in the garden courtyard, followed by a swim in the outdoor pool. If you need some serious TLC, several of the rooms feature whirlpool tubs.
