Top Five Things to Do in June

Splash down at Hurricane Harbor, explore the new Beer Trail and plan your big 4th of July weekend! It’s time to celebrate the start of summer fun in Concord.

1. Plan Your 4th of July Weekend

Fireworks are back, so get ready to celebrate with family and friends at Concord’s 4th of July Fireworks Show. The drive-in style event runs from 7-10 pm on Sunday, July 4, at the Concord Pavilion. Cost is just $25 per car, so bring the whole gang and get more bang for your buck!

2. Make a Splash

Yep, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is officially open now, and all summer long! Catch an adrenaline rush on rides like Big Kahuna, Honolulu Halfpipe and Break Point Plunge, or just float your cares away on the super chill Kaanapali Kooler Lazy River.

3. Get the Whole Scoop

Why not make it a double -- or even a double-double? Any way you stack it, it’s hard to go wrong with ice cream! Pick up a frosty treat at any one of Concord’s awesome vendors: Concord Ice Cream & Frozen Treats

4. Rock Your Pride

Join Concord Couch Concerts to celebrate Pride this month. Their Rockin’ Rainbow Special will stream live on Facebook and YouTube on Friday, June 18 at 8pm. The show features a variety of performances by local musicians to benefit the Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County.

5. Don't Foam Alone

If you haven’t signed up for the Contra Costa County Beer Trail yet, what are you waiting for? It’s the ultimate guide for craft beer lovers -- and you can earn fun gifts and prizes. Grab your best beer drinking bud and belly up!
