National Intern Day

Meet the Interns of Visit Concord!

Visit Concord's intern program has been used to supplement knowledge for students and recent graduates looking to enter the Destination Marketing Industry and related fields. From digital content creation to promotion, team work to leadership opportunities, Visit Concord has been fortunate to have fresh eyes and new ideas as amazing additions to our team.

This Summer we welcome Ashley Wilhelm and Emily Christodoulou. Both with roots in the Bay Area are coming from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Learn more about the amazing ladies of Visit Concord!

My name is Ashley Wilhelm and I am a senior at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. I am currently finishing up my Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a minor in Sales. I am passionate about marketing, and the tourism industry. I travel as often as possible and am constantly researching new destinations for my next trip!

While interning for Visit Concord I have had the pleasure of creating and designing a brand new website for the Todos Santos Business Association. Along with that, I have designed materials as part of an overall rebranding for the TSBA. I also did research into QR codes and their impact on local businesses. I have written posts for the blog as well as designed images for promotional materials! I am so thankful for this opportunity to further develop my skills professionally and that I was able to work with these wonderful ladies at Visit Concord!

My name is Emily Christodoulou and I am a recent graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I earned my B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event Planning and Experience Management and a minor in Psychology. I love planning events of all sizes but large-scale events are my favorite, especially those related to music. In my free time you can find me hiking various trails around the Bay Area and I one day hope to hike the Pacific Crest Trail!

As an intern at Visit Concord, I have helped with content creation for our various social media platforms including our new Facebook Live Series which you can tune into every Thursday! In addition to social media, I have done research relating to local events and activities that can be done while still maintaining social distance. Working with the gals at Visit Concord has allowed me to expand my skills and empowered me to develop new ones!
