2. The Buck Stops for Tacos 🌮

That’s right, tasty tacos are just ONE DOLLAR EACH at Taqueria Los Dos Gallos’ famous $1 Taco Tuesdays! 🌮 Choose from Al Pastor, Carnitas, Shredded Chicken, Grilled Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Chorizo or Chile Verde -- or just get them all! Yum!

See what life was like for Concord’s Galindo family at the Galindo House & Gardens guided tour. Built in 1856, the charming Victorian-era ranch style home features original furnishings, art, & clothes. Open on the first and third Sunday each month. Admission is $5.00. 

4. Be A Kid, Play Pinball 🎮

The Flipper Room offers an awesome selection of classic pinball machines and an art gallery to play and enjoy with your family or friends. They also offer top notch framing work for your framing needs!

They have over 30 pinball machines on quarter play. Yes, that is correct their games take quarters, you do not pay by the hour. 

5. Make Your Day With A Scoop 🍪

Pick up one of Out The Dough’s famous handmade cookie dough priced at $4.59 for a single scoop and a double scoop for only $8.50, then take a stroll through historic Todos Santos Plaza while you enjoy your treat.

If it’s been a while since you last slipped on a pair of rented shoes and fired up your pitching arm, rediscover the fun at Clayton Valley Bowl! The price is $4.00 per person, per game from 10 AM - 5 PM. The night rate is $6.00 per person, per game.

7. Get A Taste of Rachel Dunn Chocolates

If you’ve never tried Rachel Dunn Chocolates, now is as good a time as any to treat yourself with this phenomenon! These delights are now available at the Concord Visitor Center. Savor these treats while enjoying a walking tour inside the Visitor Center- learning a bit of Concord's history with our rotating gallery, grab free maps and other resources, and check out art from local artists!

Open on weekdays, from 10 AM to 4 PM located at 2151 Salvio St. Suite T in Concord, California.

8. Eat Local, Eat Fresh 🥙

Who doesn’t love a good Farmers Market? Shop fresh, local, in-season produce and more at the Concord Farmer’s Market in beautiful Todos Santos Plaza, every Tuesday, 9am-2pm.

Discover a Hindu cultural treasure right here in Concord. The beautiful Shiva Murugan Temple features a series of mesmerizing deity shrines central to the Hindu faith, as well as peaceful space for prayer and reflection. The historic temple is open to all and admission is free.

10. Walk on the Wild Side 🚶‍♂️

Markham Nature Park & Arboretum is a wonderfully untamed garden of delights, spread over multiple acres in the heart of Concord. Discover endless varieties of exotic and local flowers, plants and trees as you roam the park’s many trails. Admission is free.

If you want a little bit of challenge, you can also try this FREE Trails Challenge 2023- a self-guided hiking and bicycling program to explore the East Bay Regional Parks. The 30th annual Trails Challenge is sponsored by the Regional Parks FoundationKaiser Permanente, and East Bay Regional Park District. More than 10,000 people participate yearly!
