The foodie scene in Concord offers a diverse flavor for everyone, and everyone has the perfect food that comforts them, and is why we chose the theme of “comfort food.” From January 19 – 28, 2018, you will be able to enjoy the diverse and cultural cuisine each participating restaurant feels represents their comfort food item. A Juicing Revelation
Well it all started in 2006 when we fell in love with Juicing. But it became more serious to us in 2012, when our cousin sent us a link about a guy named Drew Canole,who helped us to understand the realness of juicing as it pertained to how the body benefits from vegetables and fruits on a cellular level.
After he introduced us to a video made by Joe Cross named “Fat, Sick and almost Dead,” our true passion to help the masses came alive. And in 2015 my wife attended the Institute of Integrated Nutrition and became a Certified Health Coach.
Since juicing was our thing, we knew we had to create some great tasting, yet very healthy vegetable and fruit combinations that would help aid our country in the pursuit of complete healthiness and vitality with one person, one juice at a time.

Modern Mexican Style
Canasta Kitchen uses a secret ingredient when they make their delicious Mexican cuisine, the same ingredient used in the cooking of many mothers and grandmas love, or the Spanish translation “amor.” After the Canasta Kitchen’s food truck’s tremendous popularity, owners Ivan Tellez and Carlos Rivas decided to open a restaurant.
The minimalist decor in the cafe is modern and comfortable. There is also a small outdoor seating area. The owners are often present in the restaurant, willing to greet each customer with a friendly smile.
The breakfast menu features a range of Mexican-influenced dishes, including huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, eggs, and omelets. The lunch and dinner menus are also packed with plenty of delicious options, including quesadillas, tacos, empanadas, and flautas. The cafe also serves beer, wine, mimosas, and sangria.
Sharing the deliciousness (what we call ice cream sandwiches) with local communities was our goal when we opened our first CREAM store. We wanted families who did not have the time or could not afford to make these at home to be able to enjoy an ice cream sandwich. We loved them so much, and we knew others would too. Who doesn’t love mom’s fresh baked cookies paired with thick and creamy ice cream?
In 2010, Jimmy and Gus Shamieh led the Shamieh family in opening the first location in Berkeley, California. Working the store from open to close, the Shamieh family started serving happiness one ice cream sandwich at a time.
We started with cookie ice cream sandwiches, but we soon ventured into other vehicles of happiness. This led us to develop ice cream sandwiches using brownies, do’sants, and fresh off the griddle waffles. Happiness is now served whichever way you like.

From beers to burgers, the fine folks at E. J. Phair Alehouse have all of your noshing needs covered. Whether you’re looking for some delicious grub (with some equally tasty beer) or just a great spot to kick back with a cold one, E. J. Phair should be on your to-do list.
Start things off with an order of garlic fries, and see where things go from there. Just expect to be rather spoiled for choice; their menu has everything from pizza and pasta to burgers, and you can bet that there’s a great beer to pair with whatever you order.
Rustic, Casual and Friendly
If you’re looking for gourmet burgers paired with craft beer or craft cocktails, you’ll strike gold at Eureka! Eureka’s inventive burgers (try the Bone Marrow or Fresno Fig!) and delicious creations (you’ll love the Fried Chicken Sliders and Corn Dogs made with polish sausage) make it the perfect spot for watching the big game or unwinding to some local live music. Weekend visitors must sample the brunch menu, offering everything from chilaquiles to avocado toast to fried chicken, along with more traditional items like breakfast burritos and a classic breakfast plate with eggs, potatoes and bacon or ham.
Italian with a Moroccan Kick
If you consider yourself to have a sophisticated palate or even if you’re just a lover of Italian cuisine, Fiore Restaurant serves up Italian with French and Mediterranean touches in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Dine in the red room in the back for a little romance as Chef Habib El Jacifi creates new dishes with a mixed flair.
Having grown up in Morocco, Chef Jafici encountered many different types of cuisine and uses these influences to create dishes like lamb shank braised with a demi-glace and gorgonzola sauce or Salmon Liveronese — pan-seared salmon with capers, olives and basil in a tomato-lobster sauce.
Fiore’s serene, upscale atmosphere is an oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a great place for a date night or birthday celebration or simply a night out for fine dining. The restaurant caters to food sensitivities and offers gluten-free pasta.
We are driven to bring the first Nicaraguan food experience to the East Bay. Sorry, No Burritos! La Fritanguera offers traditional vibrant and mouthwatering combination plates. Our well balanced dishes include a blend of sweet, tangy and savory flavors that will cater to our diverse communities.
You Picked a Fine Time to Feed Me, Lucille
Lucille Buchanan grew up eating good barbecue in her grandma’s lunch shack outside of Greenville. Summers and weekends working for her grandmother taught Lucille how to wow customers with the best barbecue in the land.
After swearing to her granny she’d never share her secrets, Lucille learned the ingredients to the special spice rubs, wet mops and sauces her grandmother used. Besides amazing BBQ selections, Lucille offers stomach-fillers like mac and cheese (a customer favorite), french fries and warm buttermilk biscuits — Lucille’s own addition to the menu.
The peach cobbler sets the down-home, American feel and the relaxed atmosphere and TVs playing sports around makes Lucille’s a great place to go on weekends to relax, drink a large mason jar of lemonade or a glass of beer and enjoy BBQ that slides right off the bone.
