Drink, Dine & Unwind In Concord

Just one day in Concord is an opportunity to taste flavors from across the globe. For Asian cuisine, Steamboat is the place for enjoying hot pot, an East Asian stew where guests order meats, seafood and vegetables, then cook them at their table in a pot of broth. DJ’s Bistro, a German/Modern European hot spot, serves traditional favorites like Hungarian Goulash and Jaeger Schnitzel. Chopan Kabob can fix a craving for tasty Afghan food while Naan n Curry serves the two Indian staples and much more. For a signature Concord dish, Patty’s Original Cheese Zombies is an absolute must. The doughy ball filled with cheesy goodness is a staple in the City of Concord – see for yourself!

Nestled in the midst of San Francisco Bay AVA and Napa Valley AVA, Concord’s glass is full of rich, bold flavors of California vino. Wine lovers will find their fix at Luna Ristorante, a wonderful local eatery bursting with essence of traditional Italian fare. The cozy, quaint atmosphere makes for a romantic evening or a comfortable sunset supper on the town. For those looking for apéritifs, or a beverage before your meal, La Sen Bistro is the place for you. This local restaurant “aims to encompass a type of French-style cooking that has no defined borders and seamlessly marries influences of the French, the Vietnamese and diversity of the Bay Area.” Their stellar wine list and upscale dishes are a surefire dining destination in Concord.

Hop lovers can follow Concord’s brew trail through four local taprooms. The Hop Grenade, located in downtown Concord’s Todos Santos Plaza, boasts 21 brews on tap, bar snacks and an outdoor patio to enjoy. Epidemic Ales, a newer Concord brewery, is the place to be for activities. The downtown taproom has eight rotating beers on tap, giant jenga, board games and screens sporting events on a projector.

Black Diamond Brewing Co. has gone from brewpub to production brewery due to their excellent selection of beer. With eight rotating beers on tap, this brewery has made a name for itself for all the right reasons. For those in search of good grub to pair with a brew, E.J. Phair Brewing Company and Alehouse has been serving Concord since 2000. This local stop is the place for garlic fries post baseball season.
