Japanese American Religious & Cultural Center

This historical and cultural space started in Concord in 1926 when Issei families sought a community gathering place in Contra Costa, but the current structures have been here since 1972.

Today, the community center is comprised of 400 families who use the space to preserve language and culture. JA also hosts an annual Summer Festival open to the public and featuring traditional food and exhibits.
