Contra Costa County is home to many pick-it-yourself fruit farms. Cherries are in abundance and it's the perfect time to head out for a day of fruit-picking fun. Here are a few popular spots just a short drive from Concord:

Concord’s historic Galindo Home has officially reopened and is set to welcome visitors again on the first and third Sundays of each month. The next opening is Sunday, May 16 from 1pm to 4pm. No reservations required and admission is just $5.00.
