Nearly a Decade of Flavor at Epidemic Ales

Over eight years and counting! That's how long Epidemic Ales proudly serves up flavorful brews in North Concord.

Opening the taproom's doors in early 2016 marked a pivotal moment, propelling them into a growth and community engagement journey. Today, the taproom hosts activities, drawing in locals and visitors alike with our enticing craft beers and rotating food trucks lineup.

But let's rewind a bit. How did this all begin? Well, it started with Erin and her partners sharing a passion for brewing. They were avid homebrewers, spending countless hours experimenting in Concord's backyard. Soon enough, Erin and her colleagues stood at the precipice of an exciting venture: their very own brewery.

Erin shared with us that transitioning from the world of finance to craft beer was a leap of faith, but one that paid off in more ways than imagined. Interacting with the vibrant community and building lasting relationships has been the highlight of her journey. Gone are the days of office cubicles, now, every face in the taproom feels like family. From quirky beer names like ZombiU IPA inspired by the love of zombie movies and thrillers to distinctive label artwork, every detail reflects a passion for crafting unique experiences. The Lady Boss IPA, brewed annually to celebrate International Women's Day, is a testament to honoring women and beer brewing.

Erin shares with us, “As a woman-owned brewery, I've been privileged to witness the rise of female entrepreneurs in the industry. From collaborative brew days to networking events, the sense of camaraderie among women in brewing is appreciated.” Her journey is marked by cherished memories, from hosting gender reveal parties to themed events like the annual Halloween bash. The joy of seeing families grow alongside Epidemic Ales due to loyal customers is immeasurable.

So, let’s raise our glasses to almost nine years of brewing excellence. Cheers to Epidemic Ales, where every pour feels like Concord community. 🍻
