2021 Concord Jazz Festival Continues!

Continuing the celebration of Jazz in Concord

This year Concord will carry forth its legacy of ongoing appreciation of jazz with a five-day, LIVE celebration. The Concord Jazz Festival was founded by Carl Jefferson in 1969 and drew 17,000 attendees in its first year. Since then it has become an inaugural event and in 2019, Concord celebrated the Jazz Festival’s 50th year by presenting an array of jazz artists throughout the city of Concord including Poncho Sanchez, Chick Corea, Dave Koz and many more. Concord plans to continue the legacy and keep the jazz alive by showcasing five days of jazz performances!

Take 5

In 1959 the Dave Brubeck Quartet released their record, Take Five, which has now become one of the most well known songs amongst jazz enthusiasts. Dave Brubeck was a Concord local turned jazz legend and this five-part jazz series honors him in his centennial year. Jazz fans can enjoy five distinct events that will educate, engage, and immerse them in the world of jazz.

Visit Concord developed the following guidelines based on CDC-recommended practices. All attendees and staff will be required to strictly adhere to all guidance in order to create a safe, secure and enjoyable event for all.

  • Face masks are required at all times regardless of vaccination status unless eating, drinking or presenting on stage*
  • Maintain 3 feet physical distance from others
  • Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue in addition to enhanced surface cleaning protocols
