Find out if you have arachnophobia or fall in love with spiders as naturalist and hike leader Ken Lavin introduces you to the gentle giants of Mount Diablo. Early fall is a busy time for local tarantulas as they look for love on the mountain. Join us for a moderately paced four-mile hike with moderate elevation change to dispel myths about tarantulas and observe them in nature. Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended. There will be a $6 park entrance fee
