Contra Costa County boasts more than 40 local breweries, tap houses and beer bar restaurants, so grab your best beer drinking bud and belly up!

3. Pick a Peck of Peaches

4. Bring Your A's Game

Celebrate the return of the live A’s games at the Oakland Coliseum! You never know who you might see among your fellow fans there. And don’t sweat the traffic or parking – as always, games are BARTable from Concord. Check out the 2021 home game schedule at  Oakland A’s.

6. Rock Out

Live concerts are back at the Concord Pavilion! Starting mid-July through fall, see top acts like Black Crowes, Alanis Morissette and Maroon 5 for a perfect night under the stars.  

For those who like their produce with a side of tasty tunes, Music & Market is back!  Head on over to Todos Santos Plaza every Thursday night starting July 15 through September 30 for the popular Farmers Market music series. This year’s lineup features great tribute bands and longtime local favorites including Zydeco Flames, Journey Revisited and Zepparella, just to name a few.
 
But wait, there’s more! Enjoy live performances at The Veranda Unplugged series every Wednesday night at The Veranda’s Pavilion Fountain Park from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Be sure to check out upcoming shows with great acts like Chicken Tenders, Jinx Jones, Dan Durkin and more. Shows are free and everyone is welcome. 

7. Pack a Picnic

Pick a park and pack a picnic!  Reserve your spot online through Concord Parks & Recreation and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors with friends and family.


8. Have a Movie Night Adventure

Concord’s  West Wind Drive-In is one of the few remaining drive-in movie theaters in California. Make a full night of it with a double feature and a trip to the snack bar during intermission! 

9. Hit the Trails

Looking for a scenic workout? Hike or bike your way up Mount Diablo or any of the trails at Lime Ridge Open SpaceIron Horse Trail or Contra Costa Canal. It’s the perfect way to connect with nature and get fit at the same time. 

10. Cruise the Taco Trail

There’s only one original Taco Trail, and that’s Concord, California! With 39 authentic, family-run taquerias and restaurants, it’s the East Bay’s go-to destination for great Mexican food. Get the map or the app and take the high road to taco heaven.
