The Bay Church (formerly Calvary Temple Church) is honored to present their Annual Turkey Trot Concord at Todos Santos Park in downtown Concord, California on Thanksgiving morning – Thursday, November 22nd, 2018. The proceeds of this 5K/10K Run & Walk will benefit Compassion Outreach, a multi-faceted program which works to meet practical needs for the underserved in our communities.
Each participant receives a race t-shirt and a custom designed Turkey Trot finishers medal. A FREE Kids Dash around Todos Santos Park for kids ages 10 and under begins at 7:45am (just before the 5K/10K starts).

Tree Lighting and Mayor’s Sing-A-Long
Concord’s Official Tree-Lighting, Carriage Rides, Mayor’s Sing-Along and Santa’s Grand Arrival begins Saturday, December 1 at 3 PM. Enjoy special treats, booths, carolers, kid activities and more!
On-stage entertainment: 5 p.m. School choirs and community entertainment on stage with traditional tree-lighting and holiday sing-along.
Ice Rink at The Veranda
The Ice Rink at The Veranda will be open again this year for all the Holiday Fun! The Rink will be open November 9th at 4pm- February 18, 2019. This year features many special skating events including Bargain Tuesday’s where you get $6.00 off your skate, local’s nights ($4.00 off), skate with Santa every Sunday and more! Tamales and Bikes Fest
Join Bike Concord Saturday, December 1st for their annual Tamales & Bikes Fest fundraiser. This event is coordinated to fit within City of Concord’s schedule for the tree lighting celebrations. Here is the schedule for the event:
3:00 PM - 7:30 PM The Tamales & Bikes Fest begins! Look for our holiday selfie booth, decorate your bike, and purchase raffle tickets. This is an outdoor event, so dress warmly. Bike Valet will be available.
4:00 PM Santa arrives on a firetruck. Sponsored by City of Concord and TSBA. Buy your tamales plate and sit down and enjoy your delicious meal. If it rains, you can still pick up your tamales or eat under the canopies. You can buy more tamales until they run out.
5:00 PM Enjoy the entertainment followed by a magical tree lighting ceremony. Don't forget to order more tamales and visit the photo booths! Santa will be there.
7:00 PM Raffle winners will be announced and Tamale sales end, if we haven't already run out yet.

Super Holiday Boutique
The holiday season’s largest shopping extravaganza in Central Contra Costa is at the 9th annual Super Holiday Boutique. Get special one-of-a-kind holiday gifts & stocking stuffers for family, friends and colleagues from a variety of arts and crafts vendors, home-based businesses and commercial exhibitors on December 2nd from 11-3pm at Centre Concord. Toys, clothing for babies, kids and adults, jewelry, purses, cosmetics, candles, soaps, candy, fashion accessories, home goods, bath and body, books, kitchenware and cooking products, baked goods and so much more will be available.
There will be holiday decorations, ornaments and books galore. There are also several self-help and home improvement exhibitors.
The Grinch, the Dr. Seuss character from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," will be on hand exclusively to pose for free photo opportunities for kids of all ages right after the release of his movie "The Grinch." Making a special appearance again will be Olaf from the Disney movies "Frozen" and "Olaf's Frozen Adventure.”
There will be free holiday arts and crafts activities allowing kids to make a keepsake present for their family and friends while their parents are shopping. Attendees will receive a free raffle ticket for numerous prizes donated by Boutique vendors. The donation of food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano will earn the donor another raffle ticket for each can donated.
Gingerbread House Boutique
It’s time again for the Gingerbread House Boutique at the Concord Event Center, sponsored by the Concord Historical Society. Enjoy a fabulous variety of goodies from oils & vinegars, handmade cards, sweet treats, hand carved eggs, children's books, soaps and lotions, crafted jewelry, clever knits, sewn holiday gifts, framed art, lighted glass squares, beautiful woodwork and more.
