10 Don't Miss Events at the Concord Pavilion in 2019

The Concord Pavilion is one of the Bay Area’s best and largest outdoor concert venues, and a fresh calendar of performers across all genres, from hip hop to classic rock to pop, always keeps it interesting. Here are some must-see shows for this year.

Concord is home to one of the Bay Area’s best and largest outdoor concert venues, the Concord Pavilion. The amphitheater opened in 1975 and has thrilled audiences ever since with global tours and local community events alike. The City of Concord owns the venue, while its events are operated by Live Nation.

With an impressive capacity of 12,500 people, the Concord Pavilion includes two main audience areas: reserved seating beneath the canopy and an expansive open-air lawn. The lawn has a lively communal feel, with people sitting on blankets, cushions, and small beach chairs they brought from home. Concert-goers are allowed to bring picnic food in sealed one-gallon bags and small, soft-sided coolers with non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy during concerts. Additionally, the Pavilion has a section of private box seats in the center of the venue and a dance pit directly in front of the stage.

The mixture of annual events like the Concord Jazz Festival and a fresh calendar of performers across all genres, from hip hop to classic rock to pop, always keeps it interesting here. This year, put the following 10 concerts on your list of must-sees:
